Kawempe Royal College school was established in 1998 and as of now we have another campus at Bulaga along Kampala-Hoima Road.

The school had humble beginning with some wooden classrooms, a few wooden seats and with 116 students.

The founder members are: Mr Nantagya Grace, Mr.Byakatonda Peter, Ms Florence Kizza, Mr. Kaddu John, Mr. Sebbanja Abubakar, Mr.Ssali Damuscus, and Mr. Bwewusa William.

With an increase in the number of students the school had some improved structure and applied for a provisional license to operate a school that was acquired on 10/2/1998 . After satisfying the ministry of education with the entire requirement for any standard education institution beyond any reasonable doubt, the school got registered by the ministry of education in the year 1999 with number PSS/K/111.

Kawempe Royal College School acquired a Uganda National Examination Centre for Ordinary level (U1103) in the year 2000.

In the same year the school got a registration certificate for Advanced level in the year 2000 with a registration number PSS/K/170 and a Uganda National examination Centre for Advanced Level (U1103) was acquired in the year 2001
